Earl
I guess you can say that I like music. All kinds of music.
A few years ago, my wife said that if I was going to retire that I needed a
hobby. So since I like to dance, I decided to start a non profit Society
called the “Blues Underground Network”. It raises money to help young
musicians by putting on Dances on a once per month basis. Check out our
website at www.bluesnorth.com
This past summer I retired from my Instructor’s position at the College
of New Caledonia. I am still involved with the Blues Underground Network
as Artistic Director. I have also started Za Zoot Entertainment to bring
more music to Prince George and area.
I got involved with radio at CFUR 88.7fm which is broadcast from UNBC. I
started doing a blues show “Blues Underground” a few years ago. I still
do it on Mondays from 4-6 pm. About a year or so ago, I also started
“Blues Underground” on CFIS. This show can be heard Saturday afternoons
from 1-3 pm. Although both shows have the same name, I play different
songs on each week’s shows. One feature of “Blues Underground” is
that it features various styles of Blues music which is mainly performed by
Canadians.
Most of my shows have over 75% Canadian content.
I also host two other shows at CFIS. “Coming Soon” and “New
Nations Now”
“Coming Soon” can be heard on Tuesdays from 6-7 pm. This show features
music from performers who will be performing live in Prince George. So if
you have read that a performer is coming to town, but you are not sure what
their music sounds like, give us a listen. By the way, if you are a
performer or your group is putting on a performance then drop Reg a line

“New Nations Now” can be heard on Sundays starting at Noon. It features
music performed by Aboriginal and Metis entertainers. All types of musical
styles can be heard.
