Do you love music with heart, soul and tradition? Then tune into the Country Cavalcade every Wednesday nights from 6-8 here on 93.1 CFIS-FM. Starting with the 90’s and going back to the 60’s, 50’s, 40’s, even the 30’s and 20’s, join me, Corey Walker, for a trip back in time every Sunday night from 8-10 on the Country Cavalcade. Only here on 93.1 CFIS-FM. Sponsored by Timeberline Footfitters in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.

About The Host

Corey Walker has been a presence on the local airwaves since January 2003, when he began on CFUR 88.7 FM as the host of Re-living the Golden Years with Corey Walker, a classic country & western show. Corey eventually went on to host three shows at CFUR, including one spoken word program featuring classic old time radio programs. Corey joined CFIS in January 2008 as the host of the Country Cavalcade, and brings with him an extensive knowledge of country music history, and almost no knowledge of contemporary country (which he largely ignores), with the exception of the great independent talent that exists today. In addition to hosting the Country Cavalcade, Corey hosts two other shows: This Land is Your Land, a one hour folk show on Wednesday night, and Songs from the Chapel, a one hour gospel show on Sunday morning. Corey also operates the station during some of the baseball and hockey games,  He has a BA in English and History from UNBC, and in June 2009, Corey completed his Provincial Instructor Diploma from Vancouver Community College.
