Our Night Sky

This is Maurice Sluka, I am the Vice President of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Prince George Centre. We offer the ‘Our Night Sky’ feature, intended to inform people of what is happening in the night sky each week, for the casual observer by naked eye or binoculars to the amateur astronomer with a small telescope. There is always something new and interesting in the night sky, and we can help people appreciate the beauty of our night sky visible from here in Prince George. We also want to let people know we have a very active society of nearly 100 members and operate one of the most well equipped observatories in Canada with the second largest telescope in BC available members and the public to look through. We also offer courses each year for those who what to learn about astronomy and visual observing.
