This Land Is Your Land
Time: Tuesday: 7pm-8pm
This Land is Your Land is one hour of great folk music. The beauty of folk music is that it changes and evolves as society changes and evolves. By listening to a well-written folk song, you can learn a lot about who we used to be as a society and who we are today. Anything and everything can be and has been included in a folk song. Your host, Corey Walker, plays folk songs that sing about our history, our culture, our politics and even our dirty laundry, figuratively speaking. Tune in every Tuesday night from 7-8 to hear such legends as Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, the Travellers and the Kingston Trio. You will also enjoy some contemporary selections from Canadian artists, such as Edmonton’s Celtara and Calgary’s Roy Forbes.
If you are a folk artist and would like to have your songs featured on the show, e-mail Corey at
